Are these cult-fave pants worth the hype?

Walk into any Anthropologie store and you will see stacks and stacks and stacks of their cult favorite cropped wide leg “Colette” pants. Available in an array of colors, prints, and fabrics you have to wonder why they keep making them. Are they as great as they seem?

I’ve tried these myself, I’ve tried these with clients. Between the endless variations, the ultraaaa stretchiness, and the extended sizing (available in both tall and petite, and up to a size 26W, these are basically the sisterhood of the traveling pants.

The insider tips you need? The denim and faux leather fabrics stretch almost a whole size, while the Ponte, linen, and “magic fabric” stretch about a half size. That being said, I’d size down and if you’re trying them on in-store you should leave with a pair that feels a little tight.
